"A great many of our customers are veterans and it's always a special privilege to assist them in their travels. We pride ourselves in the service we provide to thousands of travelling customers each and every day."

Mission: ABLEwas designed to enlist Americans—citizens, communities and corporations—to help ensure our paralyzed heroes are provided the physical care needed to live a healthy life, receive the benefits they've earned through military service and have the resources to obtain job training and opportunities for new and fulfilling careers.

"We thank Scootaround for joining us in our mission of ensuring that our veterans get the care, benefits and jobs they've earned and deserve," said Bill Lawson, national president of Paralyzed Veterans of America. Veteran Mobility Benefits

If you are a veteran who has mobility impairment due to MS, ALS or a spinal cord injury before or after your honorable discharge from military service, you may be qualified to receive an adaptive auto grant from the Department of Veterans Affairs in the amount of $18,900, which was increased on October 1, 2011 from $11,000. This increase will make it more affordable for you to purchase an adapted vehicle.

In addition to the VA grant, VMI is offering an additional $1,000 coupon that can be used as cash back from the manufacturer or applied toward a down payment of a VMI wheelchair accessible van for veterans that qualify for the 21-4502 grant and who have not previously taken advantage of the 21-4502 Auto Allowance Grant.
